Another Palladio building in Vicenza, the Teatro Olimpico is one of only a few Renaissance theaters that are still around. This theater was really interesting because of the set design which features a street scape. The design of the set is to create a false perspective to make it seem like the set is really deep when it is really shallow. We sat inside for a while to sketch the interior and while we were there they put on a light show to recreate the lighting effects that they used back in the Renaissance. It was cool to see the building in use.
