Journey to Mizen Head

My favorite part of our Ireland trip was our drive out to Mizen Head - the south-westernmost point in the country. The drive itself wasn't great (really, really long) but the views out over the coast were phenomenal. When we finally reached Mizen Head we found out that it was closed which was kinda a bummer. Luckily, there were a few horses at the end of the drive that kept us entertained. There were a few beautiful spots that we stopped at on the way back towards Cork. We saw people out flying kites and windsurfing on the beach, even though it was about 50 degrees and extremely windy. I would definitely like to go back to this area again and stay for a few days when the weather is warmer.
